How to send gifs on WhatsApp

Snapchat has announced today that users will be able to send gifs to each other across the platform.

But WhatsApp users have been enjoying that feature since 2016.

After all, nothing keeps a conversation ticking along like an expertly-deployed gif and, thankfully, there are millions to choose from.

Gifs are short looping video clips or animations typically lasting about five seconds. Thanks to online catalogues like Giphy, they can be searched through based on keywords.

For when you need that perfect reaction.
